SALARY: Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. The average salary for the position is $48,000.
We are now hiring for a full-time R3 Workforce Specialist to join our Restore, Reinvest, Renew (R3) initiative team at Merrionette Park Team!!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Plan and execute community hiring events for employer partners.
Develop and foster professional relationships with employers, placement agencies, and temporary agencies.
Represent MFS at employer partner hiring and employment events.
Provide support to R3 employer partner staff when needed while attending those events.
Assist with the planning for hiring events for assigned employer partners.
Make presentations to business within the R3 communities to promote workforce services programs and develop new employment opportunities for job seekers.
Coordinate employer engagement strategy across agency workforce programs.
Manages system that tracks employer partnerships and employer engagement.
Coordinates with MFS R3 workforce program to meet the deliverables for grants.
Manages the R3 job readiness training.
Assists in managing relationship with Community Based Organization Collective (CBOC).
Utilizes a team approach and work with other R3 program staff in the planning and implementation of services.
Supervises Career Coach / Workforce specialist.
Takes increasing responsibility for own professional development, utilizing supervision and other developmental opportunities within and outside the agency to enhance skills and understanding.
Other assigned duties QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Service, Communications, or a related field required.
Five years of training, administrative experience, relationship management experience, or demonstrated experience in a related area, required.
Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver's license and proof of insurance to perform essential job functions, required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal
Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
