Anew: Building Beyond Violence and Abuse mission is to provide comprehensive, coordinated services to families in which domestic violence exists without imposing any one solution. Our services include: 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, court advocacy, counseling for adult and child victim/witness, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing. We also offer Community Education and Prevention that provides age-appropriate school-based domestic violence education designed to help students understand healthy family and dating relationships and to practice safe, healthy, nonviolent behaviors. Anew is an approved training site through the Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional Board (www.ilcdvp.org) and is approved through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (www.idfpr.com) to offer Social Work and Counseling CEUs.
Our Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) serves adult men and women who have used violence and abuse with an adult intimate partner. Our program emphasizes safety for victims and children, taking accountability for abusive choices, and reducing and preventing continued domestic violence through education and awareness. Our program is approved by the Illinois Department of Human Services. Our 24-hour hotline is (708) 335-3028.
